District 2 Florida Thespians 2022

Junior Year of high school Erica competed in the District 2 Festival for Florida Thespians for her 3rd year. She was still not yet comfortable with an original design for the piece, but she was a lot more confident with different techniques which included dying and draping her fabric, using various embellishments such as beading and pearls, and using interfacing. Erica wanted to challenge herself to explore more decorative textures and reach out of her comfort zone. She considers her "experiment" a success as this piece landed her a “Superior” from the District 2 Festival. She was now 3 for 3.
